Considering
A List of Objects like Characters and Places. So we have more Infos for our McGuffin or all the other objects.

This is useful for fantasy authors to follow for weapons, devices, artifacts, symbols, etc. I can use Notes, but it's less handy.

Would love to see years, months, days so can figure out overarching plot/event timeline within a single book and across an entire series.

file name at top of program

Which file do I have open? Which version? Hell if I know! If you look at Scrivener and Word, both will stick the file name at the very top of the window. PLEASE DO THAT.

Nested Places / subplaces

In organizing a massive work with recurring places and sub places it would be very useful to be able to next smaller places within larger places. For example: KING'S LANDING > THE RED KEEP or THE NORTH > WINTERFELL > THE CRYPTS.

File Attachments

It would be great if you were able to add attachment(s) to objects in plottr. At a minimum of PDF, XLS, DOC, TXT. This would allow me to launch my manuscript file in word and my word count spreadsheet.

New idea
Function to add a Desktop-Link for a Project. So if we have more than one Projekct, we can open it directly from teh Desktop.

This Function could com with a Menu-Entry ('Add Project to Desktop') or with a commandline-parameter, so we build that link manually.

Be able to move characters over to another project

It would be great to take the main characters with me somehow without having to retype all the details again. Perhaps all 'Main Characters' on one book can magically appear on book 2's project?

Considering
Duplicate a card, or an entire plot line, with all its info intact.

Duplicate and paste or import a timeline (entire timeline, individual column/row, card) into a new book within the series.

I'd like to have the ability to duplicate scene card or copy scene card. Character flaws and traits may belong to particular scenes. I suppose I can copy and paste to make another card for each scene or chapter I want to be reminded of content.

Would love to be able to copy a scene from the Series Timeline to it's book timeline (so I don't have to put in scenes twice).

I am LOVING the series timeline -- it makes plotting my series So Much Easier. But now I have to input every scene twice--once on the series timeline and once in the book's timeline. It would be great to be able to, when I identify a scene in the series timeline as belonging to a particular book, for that scene to just show up on the book's timeline. Is that possible? Thank you!!

On roadmap
Search / Replace Function

A ctrl+f type search function for finding all occurrences of a word or phrase that scans all texts such as cards, notes and character sheets. For example, if you decided on a certain name for a location, it would be helpful to be able to find all references to that location. If you later want to change that name, you can then more easily find and change the name everywhere. --- I would love to see a search feature added to the notes. I have a rather long list of spells for my fantasy novel, but I can't quickly search for the spell I need. Instead, I have to read through the list each time I go hunting for the magic I need. I'm certain this would be useful for other writers as well as they look for certain words within their notes. Thanks.

1. A project search by keyword might be helpful. 2. A project FIND/REPLACE would be VERY helpful! For instance, if I change a character’s name (as often happens), instead of hunting and pecking for every place I used it, it would sure be nice if I could use FIND/REPLACE and change the name wherever it appears. 3. A button or something for inserting a separator into an editable box (solid or dotted line, or something.) 4. Another cool feature would be the ability to import ‘mind maps’ into the project somewhere—even just as a picture. For instance, when I create a mind map using, say, Scapple or Minddomo or Mind Maple, I can export the file as a .PNG or PDF. If Plottr had a tab for storing and/or displaying such pictures, then I would be able to keep everything together in Plottr. 5. While in CHARACTERS, instead of scrolling through all the characters (some books have many, many characters), it would be nice if a little search bar would scroll as I type the name I’m searching for. Or, and maybe also, a dropdown list of the created names, or tag colors I’ve given the characters. Say, for instance, I give all the ‘good guys’ a blue tag and ‘bad guys’ a red tag. Then clicking the tag color would bring up only those characters. Just some thoughts. Thanks very much and keep up the great work you’re doing. The sky is the limit with what you’ve created!

Thumbnails for the images should have the same size to make the handling and selcting easier.

The gallery looks very strange, ugly, when using images different with different sizes. We need thumbnails in the same-size instead. A Button (like Rename/Delte) to view the image in real size would be nice then.

Be able to hide individual plot lines. Not having to add tags to filter out all lines but one in order to focus on that specific line would be great.
